The Blue Badge parking scheme

Blue badge The Blue Badge scheme provides a range of parking concessions for people with severe mobility problems who have difficulty using public transport. The scheme operates throughout the UK.

You will find information about the Blue Badge scheme (new window) on the Directgov website.

In Suffolk the Blue Badge scheme is managed by Suffolk County Council and application forms (new window) are available on its website.

Parking concessions provided under the Blue Badge scheme only apply to on-street parking and do not apply to off-street car parks that Suffolk Coastal provides.

However, we do allow 2 hours free parking in all our car parks (in any parking bay, not just the specially designated disabled parking bays) when a valid blue badge is displayed.
