Our Geographic Information System (GIS) is an interactive
mapping service that lets you view some of the map based
information held by the Council. You can carry out address searches
within the district, query map layers for information, print maps
and view aerial photography. Map layers and information currently
available include:
- Address search
- Planning history - 1948 to present day
- Suffolk Coastal Local Plan
- Conservation areas
- Parish boundaries
- Aerial photography 1999 and 2007
- Historical maps of parts of the district

To get the most out of the GIS you will need a broadband
internet connection and your computer screen resolution set to 1024
x 768, 24 bit colour display. You will have difficulty using this
service if you have a dial-up internet connection.
The GIS website is designed to be used with the following
browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later with JavaScript
enabled (which is by default), Netscape 6 or later and
Mozilla.
