The swimming pool at Leiston Leisure Centre will reopen from 7am tomorrow morning (Friday April 25) following repairs to the gas supply at the pool.

The pool has been closed since April 8 when specialist contractors were called in to fix the problem with the gas pipe which meant that the swimming pool temperature could not be maintained at a comfortable level. The problem also affected the steam room and sauna, and meant that the sports hall has been without heating or hot water.

“We are happy to say the swimming pool facilities at Leiston Leisure Centre are now up and running again, and I want to say a big thank you to all our customers for their patience while the pool has been closed.” said Simon Tappenden, local manager for DC Leisure who run the Council’s leisure centres.

Members of the public who would like more information should contact the Leiston Leisure Centre on 01728 830364.
