Business Rates deferral scheme

On 31 July 2009 regulations came into force allowing Business Ratepayers to spread the payment of increases in their 2009/2010 Business Rates bill over three years. Full details of the scheme are given in the leaflet below:

The leaflet and application form were sent out to all eligible businesses in Suffolk Coastal. The scheme was available for the 2009/10 financial year only and you could apply at any time until 31 March 2010, as long as you had some of your bill left to pay.

Small Business Rate Relief

If you run a business, further help may be available to pay your Business Rates bill, with Small Business Rate Relief (SBRR).

If you have any further queries regarding any of the above reliefs, or are unsure if you qualify, please call 01394 444544 or email businessrates@suffolkcoastal.gov.uk
