Your Business Rates bill - multipliers set since 1990

Suffolk Coastal calculates your Business Rates bill by multiplying your rateable value by a multiplier set by the Government each year.

Since 1 April 2005, following the introduction of the Small Business Rate Relief (SBRR), two multipliers have been in effect - the standard National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier and the Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier. The former is higher to pay for SBRR.

The two multipliers set each year since April 2005 are listed below:

2012/13
National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 45.8p.
Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 45.0p.

2011/12
National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 43.3p.
Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 42.6p.

2010/11
National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 41.4p.
Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 40.7p.

2009/10
National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 48.5p.
Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 48.1p.

2008/09
National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 46.2p.
Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 45.8p.

2007/08
National Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 44.4p.
Small Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier - 44.1p.
