Suffolk Coastal is an excellent location for businesses, with many already making the most of its excellent natural environment, its network of established transport links to London and Europe and the internationally important Port of Felixstowe.

The Council has defined six priority themes that form its key objectives. Each theme makes an important contribution to the quality of life in the district. The economy theme commits the Council to 'stimulate a prosperous and sustainable economy in order to improve the quality of life of the community'.

Our Economic Development & Regeneration team seeks to achieve this through the promotion of tourism, by working with the business community to improve the economic environment and through a range of regeneration initiatives.

If you want to find out more about the team's role in the district you can view our Economic Development, Tourism and Regeneration Strategy (new window PDF 52KB).

The team offers advice and guidance for new and existing businesses and operates a signposting service to relevant business organisations within the area. We produce a Business Bulletin, which is produced twice yearly and sent out free to all businesses within the district.

You can access the latest information on commercial land and property availability in the district by visiting the Suffolk Property web pages (new window). Alternatively, for specific enquiries you can get in touch with us using the contact details given below.
