Task groups help the
Cabinet develop policies and services. There are
currently five task groups dealing with specific areas of work:
- Local Development Framework (LDF) Task Group -
considers issues to do with the development of the
Suffolk Coastal Local Development
Framework.
- Grants Task Group - considers
grant applications from local groups and
organisations that provide social, artistic or sporting
facilities and services to local residents.
- ICT and e-government Task Group - considers
issues to do with ICT and e-government.
- Green Issues Task Group - considers issues to
do with the environmental agenda, the use of natural resources and
the threats from climate change.
- Shared Services Task Group - considers the
issue of developing shared services with other councils within
Suffolk and public sector agencies.
In addition to the task groups listed above, the Cabinet has
established a Policy Development Task Group to
support development of a wider range of policy.
All task groups are politically balanced and report directly to
the Cabinet.
