Current Local Development Framework consultations

Core Strategy Preferred Options - have your say on our preferred approach towards the future development of the district, covering subjects such as housing, settlement hierarchy, economy, environment and community well-being.

A series of information roadshows are being held across the district when you will be able to come along and find out more about the Local Development Framework. Planning officers will be available at drop-in sessions to discuss issues and answer your questions. Follow this link for a list of dates, times and venues.

Site Specific Allocations and Policies Issues and Options - give us your thoughts on the sites which landowners, developers and others have submitted to the Council for consideration for allocation for development. Also, we are inviting comments on what criteria should be used when deciding where to draw the physical limits boundaries, or ‘envelopes’, of those settlements where new development will be directed.

Consultation begins on 8 December 2008 until 20 February 2009.
