Suffolk Coastal has an equal opportunities policy to ensure that
job applicants and employees are not disadvantaged because of their
gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation.
We undertake equal opportunities monitoring to make sure that our
policy is effective:
We are very keen to encourage people from under-represented
groups to apply for jobs at the Council. At present, women are
under-represented at senior management levels and ethnic minorities
are under-represented in the workforce as a whole.
The Council operates a flexi-time scheme for many jobs and some
full time posts may be suitable for job sharing. If you are
interested in flexible working options, please ask what is possible
for the particular vacancy you are considering.
If you decide to apply for a job with the Council, please let us
know if you have a disability or long term medical condition. We
will make reasonable adjustments to the selection procedure and/or
to the job itself, if needed because of a disability.
