Salary: Career grade (£20,736 to £30,598) plus payment

The Suffolk Coastal district is a one-off. It contains the
unique landscape of AONB and Heritage Coast, wildlife habitats of
international renown, the exceptional built environments of 33
conservation areas and numerous fine buildings.
It is also one of the fastest growing areas in the region in
terms of housing and the economy yet contains deprived areas
needing regeneration. Add to all that a nuclear power
station, the largest container port in the UK and the pressures of
tourism and you have tremendous variety and all within easy reach
of London, Cambridge and the Midlands.
There is an opportunity for a motivated and creative person to
face the challenges that this amazing area presents and contribute
towards its future. This person can play a leading role in the
production and implementation of planning policy. In addition to
the drafting of development plan documents, area action plans and
supplementary planning documents, there will also be the reward of
achieving change on the ground.
