The Suffolk Village of the Year
competition is organised by
the Suffolk Association of Local Councils (new
window) in partnership with the county and district
councils and this year is sponsored by BT in association
with IP-City Network.
This year the competition was open to villages with 501 to
3000 people on their electoral roll. As in previous years there
will district rounds and a Suffolk county final but this year there
is no national Calor competition.
The competition is judged on criteria covering community spirit,
the parish council, the natural environment, general appearance of
the village and any special activities that impress the
judges.
