Best Value Performance Plan 2008/09

Each year the Council is required to produce a Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP) showing how it performed across a wide range of services during the previous year and setting targets for its performance in the current and future years.

You can view the 2008/09 BVPP by following the link below:

Best Value Performance Plan 2008/09 (new window PDF 242KB).

Additional information on the Council's performance and achievements is contained in our Annual Report.

New national indicators for local authorities

A new system of national indicators replaced Best Value Performance indicators from April 2008. We will be reporting on these from now on. More information on the national indicators (new window) is available on the Communities and Local Government website.

Performance monitoring

Details of the Council’s performance against selected performance indicators, financial performance indicators and performance in risk management are reported to the Council's Cabinet in quarterly performance reports.
