Until April 2008 all councils were required to produce an annual
Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP) showing how they performed
across a wide range of services during the past year and setting
targets for their performance in the current and future years.
A
system of national indicators (new window)
replaced Best Value Performance Indicators from April 2008.
