Our performance

Over the last few years Suffolk Coastal has been faced with a period of unprecedented change and challenges during which the Council has had to reorganise itself in the way it takes decisions and run its services while receiving extra duties without the funds to provide them.

More and greater efficiencies have had to be brought in to tackle the financial pressures facing the Council caused by external factors beyond our control. At the same time we have committed ourselves to striving for excellence in the way we provide our services.

In this section you will find out how we have been performing against a range of local and national measures and how we are achieving the goals set out in our vision. You can also see the results of annual inspections and reviews carried out by our auditors and other bodies.

Access to Services Inspection 2008/09New!
Audit of how well the Council is making its services accessible to all its residents, carried out by the Audit Commission during 2008 and published in January 2009.

Performance monitoring
Quarterly performance reports give details of the Council’s performance against selected performance indicators, financial performance indicators and performance in risk management.

Best Value Performance Plan
The Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP) explains how Suffolk Coastal has performed across a wide range of services and includes targets for its performance in the current and future years.

Delivering success - Suffolk Coastal's annual report for 2006/07
Suffolk Coastal's annual report contains information about the work done by the Council and its many partners, our priorities, finances and goals for the year ahead.

Best Value Satisfaction Survey
The 2006/07 survey of local residents satisfaction puts Suffolk Coastal top in Suffolk for both its Council and as an area in which to live.

Details of Suffolk Coastal's Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) inspection published in December 2004 and subsequent perfomance assessments by the Audit Commission.
