The Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) is an independent body
which looks into complaints about councils. The LGO does not
normally consider a complaint unless a council has first had an
opportunity to deal with that complaint itself.
The LGO produces an annual review for all councils about
the complaints against them that were dealt with by the
