Suffolk Coastal's car parks

Budget gap forces town centre parking increases - Suffolk Coastal’s pressing need to bridge a £2.7m gap between its income and spending has forced its Cabinet to agree the first increases in town centre car parking charges for six years.

Blue Badge holders

Blue badge holders to get double time in car parks - Blue badge holders will get twice as long for their car parking as other motorists from April when disabled people will be asked to help play their part in bridging Suffolk Coastal’s £2.7 million budget gap.

Suffolk Coastal currently allows 2 hours free parking in all its car parks (in any parking bay, not just the specially designated disabled parking bays) when a valid Blue Badge is displayed.

Motorcycle parking

Some of Suffolk Coastal's car parks have parking bays allocated for use by motorcycles only. Charges are waived if these bays are used for motorcycle parking. Charges do apply, however, if any other parking space within a pay and display car park is used.
