‘Changing Places’ toilet facilies are available in the public
toilets located on Cobbold Road, within the Crescent Road car park
in Felixstowe.
The facilities are available to anyone who is in
receipt of top rate Disability Living Allowance (care and or
mobility) and requires the assistance of a carer to use
the toilet or to have their continence pad changed.
The ‘Changing Places’ toilet has a peninsular WC,
height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and a hoist. The
facilities are not for independent use and the user must
be accompanied by a carer. The facilities are available
24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guidelines for using
the toilet facilities are available below.
Suffolk Coastal has a key scheme to allow access, which is
shared with Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. The key we
issue also fits the Changing Places toilet in Southend.
