The picnic site is situated a short distance from Bawdsey Quay
at the mouth of the River Deben from where, in spring and summer, a
foot-ferry regularly crosses the river to Felixstowe Ferry. The
site also lies on the route of the
Suffolk Coast and Heaths Path (new window)
and the Suffolk Coastal Cycle Route.
There are car and cycle parking facilities available on the
picnic site.
