The main purposes of the Planning Enforcement Team are to:
- Investigate alleged contraventions of planning control and,
where appropriate, to negotiate or pursue formal enforcement
action.
- Monitor approved development during the construction
period.
These activities are carried out in accordance with the
Council's Planning Enforcement Policy (new window PDF
151KB) and the good enforcement practice outlined in
the Government’s
Concordat on the Principles of Good Enforcement
Practice.
We do not deal with neighbour disputes or investigate land
ownership or boundary disputes.
