Felixstowe's Triangle is an important public space located in
the heart of the town centre.
The scheme to
relocate the public toilets and to
improve the Triangle, completed in 2011, addressed the need
for modern, free public toilets and the newly landscaped
Triangle area provides an attractive, multi-purpose, centre
piece for the town.
A 9m diameter canopy enables the Triangle to be used more
proactively for events, such as bands and markets, whilst also
providing ample space for people to sit and congregate.
The canopy was funded jointly by Suffolk Coastal, Suffolk County
Council and Felixstowe Town Council, another example of local
councils working together for the mutual benefit of Felixstowe.
