Suffolk Coastal's Climate Change Strategy

Earth from space In recognition of the ever growing body of evidence regarding the need to act to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and cut emissions of greenhouse gases, in particular carbon dioxide and methane, and the acknowledgement that change is already inherent in the climate system, Suffolk Coastal has produced its own Climate Change Strategy and action plan.

We consulted with residents and key organisations on our draft strategy between June and August 2009. You can view a summary of the results of this consultation by following the link below:

Feedback from the consultation was reported to the Council’s Cabinet on 6 October 2009 and the following strategy was approved:
