A personal licence will allow an individual to authorise the
sale or supply of alcohol under the Licensing Act 2003.
Anyone who wants a personal licence has to pass a test covering
licensing issues, and will be subject to a check for previous
criminal convictions.
The personal licence lasts for ten years (unless it is
suspended, surrendered or forfeited), costs £37, and can move with
its holder from licensed premises to licensed premises anywhere in
England and Wales.
