Felixstowe Master Plan logo

The Felixstowe & Trimleys Peninsula Future Steering Group, in conjunction with David Lock Associates, has completed a significant stage of work in the development of an overall regeneration master plan for Felixstowe.

You can view the master plan report for Felixstowe Seafront and Town Centre on the Felixstowe Future project website (new window).

During 2007 the people of Felixstowe were asked to play their part in helping draw up the blueprint that will shape the future of their town, with a focus on the seafront area from Cobbold’s Point to Landguard Point, and significant parts of the town centre and surrounding areas.

The work to date comprises a series of conceptual projects which have been assessed in some detail. In addition, there are project ideas that have also been considered and these will be evaluated further by the steering group and consultants over the coming months.

The Felixstowe Future project website (new window) has been set up to provide information on progress.

David Lock Associates prepared the local strategy for the Peninsula in 2006 and they have experience of similar work in many similar towns around the country. Follow this link to view the local strategy which sets the context for the new master plan.
