Supplementary Planning Guidance |
Supplementary Planning Guidance documents (SPGs) fill the
gap between the production of Local Plans. While not carrying as
much legal weight as a Local Plan, they represent the Council's
thinking, or planning policy, on specific areas of the district or
particular development issues.
SPGs are being replaced as part of the
Suffolk Coastal Local Development Framework.
Until their replacement, SPGs adopted by the Council and currently
in operation, will continue to be used as material considerations
in the determination of planning applications.
The full list of SPGs is given below with links to more
information and downloadable versions. Copies of SPGs can be
purchased, see our
publications list (new window PDF 27KB) for
details and prices.
Please note that some of these documents are
very large files. We recommend that you download the larger files
to your computer rather than try to view them in your web browser.
