Going Somewhere - bus service for young people

Read the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership press release New bus service for young people takes to the road.

Suffolk Links bus

Going Somewhere is a new bus service for young people who want to get to local amenities between Aldeburgh and Framlingham on Friday and Saturday nights between 7pm and 11pm.

How does it work?

Just call Coastal Accessible Transport Service (CATS) on 01728 635939 before 6pm on Friday and request a booking.

You will be asked where you want to be picked up from, where you want to go, when you want to travel and if you want a return. If the bus isn’t fully booked you will be offered a time as near as possible to that asked for.

Make the booking

If the timing is OK for you, you can accept the booking, a contact number will be asked for (if under 16 the contact number of an adult will also be required). CATS will get to you as near to the time quoted as possible and you must be ready to leave. CATS will not be able to wait for you and the driver will only pick up people who have pre-booked.

How much does it cost?

Bus fare rates apply and there are concessions for 15 year olds and under. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible.

Who runs the service?

The service is provided thanks to a partnership between the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership, Suffolk County Council and Coastal Accessible Transport Service.

The service is run by:
