The Suffolk Coastal
Sports Awards were launched in 2007 by the Coastal Sports
Alliance as a way of recognising local sports people and
organisations for their achievements and contribution to
sport. Morson International were main sponsors of the 2007
awards.
The awards ceremony took place in February at the
Seckford Theatre, Woodbridge School. Ipswich Town Chairman, David
Sheepshanks, opened the ceremony in his capacity as chief
patron of the Coastal Sports Alliance. Guest of honour was former
Olympian, Professor Bill Tancred MBE.
