There are various advice and support agencies available that may
be able to help you identify and apply for the benefits you are
entitled to, or offer you general support:
SSAFA (Soldiers,
Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) - charitable
organisation that can help and support those who serve in our Armed
Forces and those who used to serve, even if it was only for a
single day. They also care for the families of both.
Royal
British Legion - provides welfare to the whole Armed Forces
family - serving, ex-service and their dependants. Similar to SSAFA
although the service member needs to have served at least seven
days.
SNAP Support &
Advice Project - if you are struggling with living
independently there is floating advice and support available
through the SNAP project. SNAP can help you manage your
accommodation, help you budget and manage your money, help you seek
work and training and help with your health and wellbeing. Follow

all aspects of living with a disability.
DAS

hundred independent advice centres in the UK offering free,
confidential and impartial advice to disabled people and their
carers. They are based in Woodbridge but offer help and advice to
people over much of the Suffolk Coastal district area.

elderly.
