You can use our online forms to let us know if you are
new to the district, have moved house or if there are any changes
in your circumstances. You can also apply for Council Tax discounts
and exemptions.

Council Tax - survey
form
Use this form if you are a new occupier or to tell us you have
moved to a new address.
Council Tax - change in
circumstances
Use this form to notify us where
an adult has passed away; when a property is vacated or changes
in circumstances affecting entitlement to a
discount.
Applications for Council Tax discounts and exemptions

Important - to enable us to process your
application we need a signed copy of the form you complete online.
When you fill in the online form and press the submit button a new
browser window will open displaying the completed form which you
can then print off and sign. Please send the signed copy of your
application to the address given on the form.
When we receive your signed application, we will process it and
inform you of the outcome. If you entered an email address when you
completed the form you will receive a copy of your form and a form
reference number by email.
Council Tax - care workers
discount
Use this form to apply for the discount given to those involved in
the provision of care and/or support to aged and disabled
persons.
Council Tax - disabled persons
reduction
Use this form to apply for the disabled persons reduction. Follow

Council Tax - discount on grounds of
severe mental impairment
Use this form to apply for the discount given to those who are
severely mentally impaired.
Council Tax - members of religious
communities discount
Use this form to apply for the discount given to members of
religious communities whose principal occupation is prayer,
contemplation, the relief of suffering or education.
Council Tax - persons in detention
discount
Use this form to apply for the discount given to persons detained
in prison, hospital or some other place by order of a court (those
sentenced for non-payment of fines or Council Tax are not
eligible).
Council Tax - visiting force
exemption
Use this form to claim exemption as a member of a visiting
force.
Council Tax - 'Granny' annexe
exemption
Use this form to apply for an exemption from Council Tax in respect
of a 'Granny' annexe.

your completed application and any proof of eligibility we
