A new initiative has been launched
to make it even easier to make the green switch with the
setting up of a light bulb library - a suitcase of many of the
different type of bulbs on offer that you can borrow and try
out at home.
If someone in your community is prepared to be a bulb librarian
and keep track of the library whilst it’s with your community then
you can now borrow the suitcase. Individuals can then take it home
for the night and try out all the different bulbs on offer, finding
out which ones best suit their needs and their light fittings.
We have negotiated an initial discount for people who buy their
bulbs through the scheme. Suffolk Coastal is also hoping to
encourage local businesses to stock more of the unusual low energy
bulbs and are in the process of finding local partners.
People across the district do not have to wait for the bulb
library to visit them as they can see what bulbs are available on
the BLT Direct
website (new window).

The Council does not give any guarantee that this company offers
the best prices for the bulbs you wish to
purchase.
