If you have ever wondered how much energy your TV uses when left
on standby you can now find out!
Energy monitors are now available on loan for free from all
Suffolk Libraries. Just visit your local library or mobile library
with your library card and borrow one for a free trial
or reserve one online (new window) and see how
much money you could save.
Easy to install and use they can be a very helpful way of
finding our where your money goes.
One householder recently contacted us the say 'thank you' after
he found out his new halogen hob was wasting loads of power in
standby mode.
These energy monitors are also available as part of our energy
saving light bulb libraries. If someone in your community is
prepared to be a bulb librarian and keep track of the library
whilst it’s with your community then you can borrow the suitcase of
light bulbs.
Individuals can then take it home try out all the different
bulbs on offer, finding out which ones best suit their needs and
their light fittings.
To book the light bulb library for your community or workplace

0288 938 (calls are
free).
