If you have ever wondered how much energy your TV uses when left on standby you can now find out!

Energy monitors are now available on loan for free from all Suffolk Libraries. Just visit your local library or mobile library with your library card and borrow one for a free trial or reserve one online (new window) and see how much money you could save.

Easy to install and use they can be a very helpful way of finding our where your money goes.

One householder recently contacted us the say 'thank you' after he found out his new halogen hob was wasting loads of power in standby mode.

Energy saving light bulb library These energy monitors are also available as part of our energy saving light bulb libraries. If someone in your community is prepared to be a bulb librarian and keep track of the library whilst it’s with your community then you can borrow the suitcase of light bulbs.

Individuals can then take it home try out all the different bulbs on offer, finding out which ones best suit their needs and their light fittings.
