All seven local authorities in Suffolk work together as Suffolk Energy Action Link (SEAL) to promote domestic energy efficiency and encourage a reduction in energy use within the home.

Energy monitors for loan 

Energy monitors are now available on loan for free from all Suffolk Libraries. Just visit your local library or mobile library with your library card and borrow one and see how much money you could save.

Warm Front Scheme 

The Warm Front Scheme is a Government-funded initiative which is now targeted at people on certain income-related benefits and living in properties that are poorly insulated and/or do not have a working central heating system. SEAL solar 

Through SEAL solar, you can be assured of a system built to high specification and installed to best practice, guaranteeing a value for money solution to the provision of your hot water. Depending upon the type of system installed, the cost is likely to be between £3,500 and £4,000 (prices subject to survey).

If you are part of a village or other group who are interested in solar and 10 households or more are interested in having solar installed, we may be able to negotiate a 'bulk buy' discount on your behalf. For more information give us a ring.

Suffolk Warmer Walls 

'Sempatap' thermal insulation on a roll for solid walls, mansard roofs, dormer ceilings and park homes is available as a DIY product through SEAL at a discount of approximately 20% compared to the retail price. Benefits include:

• Reduces fuel bills.
