Pest control service no longer available
Due to the Council's urgent need to reduce its spending, a
review of its services identified that its pest control service was
no longer providing sufficient value for money and was also not a
priority service for its residents. As a result, the pest control
service provided for the Council by Suffolk Coastal Services is no
longer available.
Other alternative commercial pest control companies do operate
in the district - we are not legally in a position to recommend any
company but you may wish to visit the
Yellow Pages (new
window) to seek quotes from companies offering this
service.
The Council does still have a legal duty to investigate reports
of rats in premises in the district and, if necessary, to require
the owner to take action to resolve the problem. Follow this link
