Renovation grants are discretionary grants for the repair,
adaptation or improvement of private homes in the district to
bring them up to the decent home standard.
Normally grants are limited to houses in Council Tax bands A to
C. The maximum grant payable is £20,000 for owner-occupiers and
£8,000 for landlords. In most cases conditions will apply relating
to the future occupation of the property. Grants cannot be given
for work that has already been undertaken.
