Waste & recycling services in Suffolk Coastal

Late May and Jubilee bank holiday bin collections - your bins will be emptied as normal on the two special bank holidays, Monday 4 June and Tuesday 5 June.

Anyone organising a street party on the Monday or Tuesday should ensure their wheeled bins are accessible to the collection crews and call 01394 444000 and let Suffolk Coastal Services know exactly when it is happening.

Households in the Suffolk Coastal district receive a wheeled bin recycling and refuse collection service, giving residents alternate fortnightly collections of recyclable materials and household refuse that cannot be recycled.

Homes in the district also have a fortnightly brown bin collection service for their garden and food waste.

Thanks to the willingness of residents to make use of their recycling services, the overall average of household waste that is being recycled rather than going into landfill is 59%, the seventh highest in the country for 2010/11.
