Household waste recycling centres

You can recycle a wide range of materials and bring bulkier items to the County Council’s household waste and recycling centres for recycling or disposal.

Opening hours

  • April to September - 9am until 5pm Monday to Saturday.
  • October to March - 9am until 4pm Monday to Saturday.
  • Sundays and bank holidays - 10am until 4pm all year round.

The sites are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Occasionally it is necessary to close the recycling centres at very short notice, for instance because of adverse weather conditions. They may also close for improvements. It is advisable to check that your local centre is open before you travel there by checking the household waste recycling centres website or calling 0845 606 6067.
