Suffolk Coastal's Constitution

The Constitution sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people. Some of these processes are required by the law, while others are a matter for the Council to choose.

You can view the Constitution as one complete document or section by section by following the links below. You will need the Adobe Reader or similar software installed on your computer to view PDF files. Follow this link for help with downloading and opening PDF files.

Tip: the Adobe Reader software has a built in search facility which searches the text of a PDF document. This is particularly useful for large documents like the Constitution. To use the search, press Control + f, or simply enter your search term in the search box on the top menu bar of the Adobe Reader window.
