Charges introduced for pre-application planning advice - in line with many other local authorities, Suffolk Coastal has introduced charging for providing pre-application planning advice, effective from 1 October 2014. Follow this link for details of how to apply and the charges.

Community Infrastructure Levy - the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a new standard charge which local authorities in England and Wales can charge on most types of new development in their area. In Suffolk Coastal CIL charges will come into effect on all planning decisions taken from Monday 13 July 2015.

New planning applications search - Suffolk Coastal has moved over to a new system for searching, tracking and commenting on planning applications called Public Access which is shared with Waveney District Council - go to the planning applications search page.

Online planning information

You can use our online Geographic Information System (GIS) to search map based information including the Suffolk Coastal Local Plan, Section 106 Agreements, conservation areas, listed buildings, Tree Preservation Orders, enforcement and stop register, register of contaminated land, parish boundaries, aerial photography (1999 and 2007) and historical maps of parts of the district.
