The Statement of Community
Involvement (SCI) explains how residents, businesses and
other interested parties in the district will be involved in
the preparation of the Suffolk Coastal Local Development
Framework.
The aim of the SCI is to ensure that all sections of
the community have full opportunities to contribute to the planning
process from an early stage. The statement makes clear how
communities will be a part of the production of new or revised
plans, who will participate and when. It also covers community
involvement in planning applications.
The SCI was adopted by the Council in July 2006 following the
completion of a number of consultation stages. You can view
